: ~~~its a toss up for me on aenema and the one before that (my memory SUCKS!!!
-Undertow.
the one with prison sex on it and which ironically also features henry rollins on a song)!
-I like that album, and the Opiate EP, but something changed with them between Undertow and AEnema that took them from great to mind blowing. At first I really liked Lateralus, then I didn't. Now I love it, and the more I listen to it, the more of a positive message I get from it. It is much more optimistic than the other albums.
: i first saw tool at ozzfest. then i saw perfect circle. then i saw tool 2 more times. i have to say my last time was a disappointment. they spent too much time on the hanging blue people. 45 min to be exact.
-That could get old, I guess. They didn't have them at the show I was at. They did have two huge, amazing banners by the artist Alex Grey, two video screens, a disco ball, and six more smaller banners that represented the structure of the physical body, and the spiritual one. There was also a moment during an intermission where there was a real low bass sound that got louder and louder intil I actually felt off balance, and thought my heart was stopping. Weird. I am sure that is what the inital impact of an atomic bomb would feel like, right before vaporization.
(its the contortionists from their videos). they really only played 3 old songs. o well. last time they came around i didnt have the money.
-Well, I hope they come around again. *fingers crossed* Until then I will have to make due with the next APC album, and the project with Danny Carey (tool's drummer), the guitarist from King Crimson, and Les Claypool, which should be baddass.
Have a good evening, I gotta leave this place.
