It was so strange how he referred to his children as being "presents" or "gifts" from these two women and how they wanted to give them to Micheal. Like he was in the store and said "Ok, I want that lamp, and that candle, those two kids, that plate, and this book." LIke they are just objects not actual human beings. Very wierd.
