It was mostly filmed at a mall in Minnesota. The outside shot of the dirt mall was in New Jersey, but the inside was a dirt mall in Minnesota. And, I believe there were some re-shoots in California a few months later of T.S. at Brandi's house at the beginning of the film, and a re-shoot of Brandi in the big pink chair on the dating game show, again done in L.A.
But, 90% of the film was shot in a mall in Minnesota, and for the life of me I can't remember the name of the mall.
