At times it's been a hell of a lot of fun--even otherworldly. Other times--most times--it's been dull as hell. I've been waiting for Gangs of NY to come and go for eighteen months. As amazing as his films are, they're old news to him. Like any filmmaker, I guess, he cares the most about what's in front of him, so I've been given the back burner treatment by his office. In all fairness, of course, he only gives time when he can give it 100%, which is a testment to his attention to quality. So that means I/all of us have to wait some--but it's worth it.
