his arm really was cut off, or maimed, or whatever, in africa. when he got back, he performed some kind of ritual that over times allowed him to grow back/ heal the enormous damage to his arm. did you not notive, that the arm and hand were rather deformed looking.
plus those nails would have given him away, i mean he didn't paint them black, they just grew like that, ew
