I have worked with Health Care Organizations in the past. For those movie buffs, "Damaged Care" (Laura Dern, Showtime Movie), really expresses the truth about the industry in the United States.

Those that are potential drains on financial resources are less likely to receive signficant coverage. Even to the point where doctors think about the energies spent saving one life could easily save five others. Tradeoffs and the financial realities of organizations, especially those looking to turn a profit, make medical ethics a quandry. Not-for-profit can be equally as guilty as they must retain enough funding to stay afloat.

We're talking about people's lives here.
