Comic Question for Kevin Smith

I'm interested in breaking into comic writing. However, I looked up Marvel's guidelines, and they suggest something like three different synopses things, and I have absolutely no idea how they would look like. I know you mentioned the same problem in your "Evening With..." DVD, that you didn't know the proper format. My experience of writing has been copying directly the structure of a novel or short story, and I don't begin to know the behind-the-scenes way comic stories are looked at.

So, I guess my question would be: Would you have an example or tips on how to write for a submission to Marvel comics? Or, of course, any other helpful tips would be great...
