as an actor, i have to agree with you. kevins brilliant writing is one of the reasons i continue to do wat i do. if u get a chance to meet kevin (as i did at the flying car shoot, guy in the jeep with clerks sticker), you will realize that all the politics, all the shenanigans that go on in the hollywood reality have not ruined this great filmmaker. he has not given in to the hollywood sell out production and deserves unending kudos for staying true to what he knows about himself, his visions, and what people can relate to onscreen (regardless of its about two banished angels). all in all, each film offers anti-archetypical characters in a sense, people we can relate to but not the usually conveyed emotional and verbal structure. you are truly a great person and your true appreciation of your fans is very commendable. thanks kevin.
: I was going to email this to you but I decided against bothering you with an email, I'm sure you get quite a bit (although it would have been really cool to get a reply).
: Anyways, I just wanted to thank you. A few years ago I was convinced I wanted to go into Computer Science. I discovered Dogma, loved it and that turned me on to the rest of your films. After watching all of them and buying all of them (reason I have a DVD player), I started getting all my friends into your films. I can honestly say that you have around a dozen more fans because of me. Last year, my freshman year in college at University of Wisconsin, I realized Comp Sci wasn't for me. The interest I had in your films sparked interest in other films for me. I also have also started getting into comic books because of you. I bought Visionaries on the fly just because I figured I'd enjoy your books if I enjoyed your films. I am now majoring in Communication Arts: Radio, TV & Film and I plan on getting Honors in film. Instead of wading through Computer Science (I hated), I am now actively enjoying and very interested in Film.
: Thanks
