: but I have read the rest. My favorite Stephen King book is IT. The movie kicked ass as well!!!
IT is a great book, but I thought the movie was horrible. The acting was extremely cheesy (although I do like Tim Curry in it, he scared the shit out of me as a kid). I don't know who thought they could adapt that book into four hours, but they are a fucking moron. I always wondered how the true ending of the book could even be filmed.
I'd say The Stand is my favorite King Book. I loved the mini-series when it first came out, but after watching it the other day again, I realized that it is just as cheesy as IT. I guess you really can't do too much with television. If you can find it, there is a script written in 90' for the Stand as a feature film, kind of interesting.
Best King film I'd say would have to be The Shawshank Redemption, pretty good translation from the short story.
