I watched this about 2 weeks ago for the first time. My main beef was that they created a character (Kevin Bacon) that sees random acts of gore and whatnot. Then at the end they just throw all of these random acts into one scene. That just seems lazy to me and provided no shock whatsoever.

Also, there's a period of about 30-40 minutes in the middle of the flick that I sat and thought, "Who is this supposed to entertain?" It was just a crappy stretch that totally killed the mpovie for me.

Also, Kevin Smith tells his neighbor, "I've got some news regarding your son's suicide." The guy puts on his coat and in an angry voice says "This better be good!" I was thinking, "News about your son's suicide!! I would think that would be news you would be eager to hear, and that you wouldn't give your neighbor, who happens to be your best friend also, shit about it."

I am, admittedly, not much of a horror movie fan whatsoever.

But I digress...
