Apart from that, have fun with it. It's a student film? Then what's the risk. Get all your ideas out on the page, and rewrite and edit as necessary. You'll end up ommitting what seemed funny at the time, adding better material, more plot/character support etc.
Some people won't like it. Don't bark at criticism - it's helpful.
