Kevin- you know how hard it is for indie filmmakers to get financing. I was wondering what would happen if I started an organization called theactorspledge.com Basically "A" list actors would sign up (make pledge) to do one indie film within the next 2 years on projects with budgets less than $2 million. They would agree to work for scale in exchange for points on back end to show their support of indie filmmaking. If these actors went online and publicly made this pledge and accepted scripts by the indie low budget filmmakers, would it help the filmmakers get financing? If the actor starred in the film, would that give it a decent shot at securing distribution deals? Please help with your feedback.
