(Organized) Religion is absolutely farcical and a total sham. There is one good trait of religion: it (sometimes) instills morals on the unthinking masses, folks who require a punishing authority figure to keep them in line. Organized religion is for those who cannot derive their own morals. Of course, it's also used to maintain ignorance and thus the human authority (greedily) retains its power.

Believe deist, be atheist, etc., it matters not, just don't buy into a mass-marketed religion that exists solely to maintain the social status quo.

(I'm obviously pretty strongly anti-religion; if my points aren't clear, I can clarify.)
