I really wasn't going to chime in here, since Vincent already tried to rip me a new asshole for using the phrase "more true to the book", but the mini-series was just that.
Again, I'm not claiming that the Kubrick version was bad...it is, in fact, one of my favorite flicks, but it is a KUBRICK flick. It wasn't what Stephen King had in mind, so he did the remake. I enjoy both versions on different levels.
Neither of the flicks beats sitting down with the original novel though.
