I was trying to explain to a friend of mine my fealings toward the holiday and he was like.. "woo hoo.. a day to get fucked up!".. I'm Irish, although I wasn't born in Ireland, my grandparents were from County Mayo.. I've been researching my family history and it turns out I'm a distant (I emphasize that word) relative of Michael Collins. I thought that was awesome.
