: Judging by Kevin's posts below, it doesn't sound like he is coming to Australia for quite a while. (What if dealing with his current house problems gives him the renovation bug and he doesn't make another flick and there is no associated press junket ?)
: I think we should start a petition (or a collection) to get him out here.
: If $ are the problem, I've got a spare room (with a double-bed and space for a cot .. plus friends with young children who can babysit .. if asked nicely). I do live about 1000 km west of Sydney, so the commute for media committments may be a bit of a bitch.
: I'd love to see Kevin come to Australia. His American fans are spoilt rotten with all the chat-show appearances, lectures etc. There are so few genuine and funny people like Kevin around, you really have appreciate every moment they can spare for the rest of us.
: I've only started reading the board recently (but have been a fan since Clerks came out in '94) and had no idea that Kevin put so much effort into being accessible for and being so appreciative of his fans. My respect for the man has been greatly magnified by reading the boards.
: Kevin is about the same age as me and each of his films has struck a chord or has spoke to me in some way. I love that he is not resting on his laurels that he is growing and developing and that he willing to share that with us on screen. I am looking forward to Jersey Girl just to see where he is at now and what he finds joy and humour in.
: Thanks Kevin.
: Best wishes to you and your family
Yeah that'd be cool, though I doubt it would happen. Plus even if he does it's useless for me coz I live in Perth and no one goes to Perth. For a good reason though.
