I'm emerging from lurk to just lay out there that I found "Dreamcatcher" entertaining and I'm glad I paid $10.50 (damn that Fandango and its service charges) to see it. I'm sure those who are way more into the horror genre are going to find a zillion things they hated about it, and that's fine. I'm a Stephen King fan and I've read the book, and some of the changes did make me raise an eyebrow. The first hour is strong. It goes downhill a tad in the second hour, when it's more about, you know, shooting and killing and such.

To tag "Dreamcatcher" the worst movie ever means you've never seen "What Women Want" or "You've Got Mail"...you lucky bastards.

I don't know, I just thought it was fun. Fun in a shitweaselly, gory, Morgan Freeman is a nutjob kind of way.

And even though he dies a very spectacular death and it's a drag to see him go so early, Jason Lee shows he's got the chops--so Richard Corliss of Time magazine can officially go fuck himself.
