: I started off writing cheesy little teen movies. I wrote really bad scripts with unoriginal plots and horrible askew-wannabe dialogue.

Well, one thing I've learned about art and writing is that, at first, we all steal from those we admire before settling into our own style. (Just look at the original "Star Wars" trilogy and how it took directly from the "Dune" saga.)

: Eventually i progressed and started writing movies nothing askew-related. I wrote more maturely and with more down to earth dialogue and original plot lines.

That's always a plus.

: A few days ago my agent told me that a few independant companies

I still find the thought of "independent" companies hiring screenwriters and buying scripts funny.

:were interested in adapting "The Comedy of Errors" by William Shakespeare. I dont really know anything about his work but i stayed up all night reading the play and everything else they gave me.

Yes. Research will definitely be a key element when doing an adaptation. Look up essays, book reports, school lessons, reviews, and anything else you can find on the play to get a complete picture of what the play encompasses. (And it's a great and very enjoyable play, in my opinion.)

: Of course i changed a few things and adapted it to modern times but people, if they take my script, this movie is really going to kick the ass.

I hope it does. But don't get your hopes up and don't get cocky. That's been the downfall and bane of many screenwriters, including myself.

: Although the chances of my script being selected are slimmed to none

Good to see you're keeping realistic.

:this is the most interesting project i've ever worked on.

And I hope you have many more that are ten times as interesting. And, considering your youth, I'm sure you will.

: Any thoughts?

You're on the right track. Good luck with the project and with all those that follow.
