: Was the part of Chris Rock originally to be played by a black guy or did Rock change it. If it was, than was the guy from Chasing Amy supposed to play him?
: When Bartleby asked Loki if he is high after stating that the guy on the bus(mosier) is not married to the girl he is making out with, it doesnt make sense. Angels cant smoke.
-- Dammit it's a colloquialism (figure of speech), not a literal meaning.
: The character George Carlin plays is very upsetting to me. I only say this because Catholics are known for there strict rules and traditions. There is no way the Catholic League would ever allow "Catholicism Wow!"
-- It was supposed to be an exaggerated satire of the catholic church
: In the first scene when "God" (Jon Doe Jersey) gets killed by the three demons, why doesnt he just scream so they all die?
-- stop questioning the script, there are always tidbits like that are kind of inconsistent (though it is possible in his human form he was confused etc. and he was put in a coma pretty quickly
)
: I think it's funny how easily Bethany discovers that Jon Doe Jersey is
god, it was a little too unrealistic.
-- welcome to the movies where there is little that is completely realistic.
: They never really say that Jay and Silent Bob we're the prophets. It is never directly implied. We're they the prophets or was it just a coincidence that Jay mentioned Profit.
-- Actually it is implied. When the Metatron repeats it in Bethany's head.
: What ever happened to the scene where Selma shows her de-toned pelvis area? They cut it out of all forms of the movie.
-- so?
: Why does every character accept for the Muse refer to god as a he?
-- because the male sense of God is the traditional way of referring to God. Although bethany does refer to God as her on several occasions. Muse is a little defiant in case you couldn't tell and in the deleted scenes they explain that God isn't really a woman but Muse just thinks that's just the best way to refer to God (because both males and females feel comfortable with females)
: Anyways, those are just some of my questions about the movie. All continuity errors i think. Regardless, Dogma is a masterpiece and i love it, i just thought now would be a good time to bring it up.
-- it is a great movie
