I find that rather than follow spells from books (which often involve you having to spend lots of money on candles and different coloured ribbons!) you're often better off making up your own - for example, write one as a short poem type thing, then read it aloud somewhere you won't be disturbed (people are likely to think you're mad!) and somewhere you feel inspired/peaceful, and concentrate on what you hope to achieve whilst reading. You may want to perform some sort of ritual like burying the spell or something similar if it makes it feel more authentic to you. Its really about going with your inner feelings!
