A question for Kevin:
When rehearsing with actors for your film how much influence do you have on their portrayal of your characters. More so with your earlier films and lesser known stars. I will be casting next Feb, and the actors will mainly be student actors and friends who can act. What pitfalls should I watch out for? When auditioning how much do you give an actor to read? Any advice on the whole casting and rehearsing procedures would be much appreciated.
A question for all:
In CHASING AMY, the following line spoken by Jay -
"...catching a bus to Shy Town."
- In the commentary Kevin Smith mentions that this will be coming up in a future movie. I am not from the US...so my question is which city is referred to as Shy Town and has this connection taken place in subsequent films?
Looking forward to Jersey Girl, anyone know the Australian release date?
