: I am kinda interested in King Crimson because TOOL talks about them so much. If I was going to get any of their albums, which should I get first, and what kind of music do they play?

Depends which era of stuff, honestly. The stuff Tool digs of KC is their periods of trying to weave together progressive rock and speed metal. If you dig Tool, these would be the albums to go for.

Of their old stuff, Red may be the closest to this.

And after that, any of their newer stuff.

Thrak first, I'd say.
Construction of Light.
The Power to Believe.

And if you like that stuff, you may dig getting into their stuff that's less metal and more... straight-up stripped-down prog.

: Also, if you are a King Crimson fan, are you excited about the Adrian Belew/Danny Carey/Les Claypool project coming this summer?

Oh yes. Big Belew fan, big Claypool fan.

Mike
