Granted, most of them suck, but they were successful nonetheless... Plus it would be easier to make a movie out of the Simpsons than the shows you named because its a cartoon... much easier to fit into 2 hours, and I can see the simpsons having a crazy long adventure in 2 hours that couldnt be done in 5 minutes...
