attacking a man you don't even know, sure! everything's a-ok in your world.
: Honestly, when I came to this site, it was to learn more about Kevin Smith's films, not Kevin Smith.
Well there's a section for each movie. You don't have to read the interviews or post in the board if you don't want to, It's not like you're not being given a choice.
: I can give two shits what he thinks or what he does when he's not making his movies. He says this site was created for his fans but that's bullshit. He created this site for attention.
And you posted this for what? as a service to Kevin?
:Simply put: he likes it when fans kiss his ass. Kevin, man, get some dignity!
Mind reader? cooool.
:I like a good Kevin Smith film like the rest of you (Chasing Amy, Dogma) but just because I'm a fan of his good films doesn't mean I have to like his crappy ones (Mallrats, Clerks, J&SBSB).
NEVER has he told anyone they had to like ALL his films. This is all in your head.
:He created this site and goes on those college tours, i think, because he is insecure and he likes hearing people say they like him.
Fascinating theory.
: Don't believe me? There is a great article on Entertainment Weekly Online about the cyber-insecurity that is Kevin Smith. It's by critic Owen Gleiberman. Read the EW archive. And before you rail against EW, keep in mind that this is the same critic that listed DOGMA as one of the top ten films of 2000 before Kevin surcumb to his internet addiction.
EW said it??!! then it must be absolutely true. I suppose the article wasn't an OPNION piece at all.
: Instead of speaking on College Campuses or making fan club websites he should invest the energy on his movies. Or better yet, if he can't then he should see a therapist rather than take out his passive-aggressive behaviour on his fans. Whether you think I'm right or wrong, let the facts speak for themselves: it's interfering with his film career (he hasn't had a hit for years and critics lose respect for him while his buddies Matt Damon and Ben Affleck win oscars and produce successful tv shows and star in multi-mil movies).
And we all know talent is measured by BOx Office Success, I mean, just ask Vin Diesel. And not one of his movies has had losses.
BTW Damon and Affleck owe a lot of their succes to Kevin Smith. He was one of the people that helped Good will hunting get off the ground, Affleck's perfomance in Chasing Amy helped Ben get the Armageddon gig. And succesful TV shows? Affleck's show was cancelled, remember?
