~ it is largely innate. But it can be held back by ignorance, albeit briefly, but being
like a fire that pusues oxygen it remerges. Many people who are born "smart" are
intensely curious people and generally learn from everything around them....books,
biology, botany and mathematics, regarles of the limitations of their environment.
On the other hand..if an intelligence like that is encouraged properly it may develop
into genius. But even so some of our best geniuses had little encouragement!

: I think some of it is innate, for from intelligent parents intelligent offspring come, but
it could be because they are read to and their education is taken seriously.
Intelligence also stems from experience and age. If you limit yourself to outside
influences such as college or something to better yourself, you'll always be stuck at
the mind set you are. I've also noticed that the smarter people tend to hang around
together, so that type of influence and conversation stimulates you aswell.
