I also happened to have enjoyed this film very much. I don't know if I would go so far to say it was reminiscent of Monty Python, but it was pretty damn funny. Admittedly, it was base level comedy, but I loved it anyway. I will also definitely be buying the DVD. As far as my intelligence is concerned from this, I guess I'll just have to consider the source and respond with PPPPPBBBBBBLLLLLLLTTTTTTTTT!
