: : It's God awful. BUT if you did like it, you should check out WHAT'S UP TIGER LILY. Woody Allen essentially did the same thing twenty years prior to Odekerk and did it much better, he dubbed an old chop socky movie with all new dialog, and the results are fantastic.

: Yeah, I was gonna say, it's the same idea. I keep hearing people like "Yeah, that's so brilliant to redub one of those generic movies to make it funny." I don't know how they pitched it with the exact same idea.

Yeah, but Tiger Lily was done like 20 years ago. Hollywood and the movie-watching public seems to forget after three months. Woody who?

Anyways, KPETF has an addition to the Tiger Lily idea of digitally adding stuff to the flick, namely Odekerk as the lead. It's low brow humor, as are the Thumb movies. I rather like them myself. Avoid the commentary, though. It's lame as hell. Lamer than the commentary on Spaceballs.

Another deubbing I enjoyed was Dynaman that had appeared on USA. It was a sentai show where they redubbed the dialog. For those of you who don't know, sentai is a type of show from Japan like the Power Rangers. The heroes are a team who wear color-coded uniforms, fight the evil monster, the monster grows big, they get out their super space vehicles, fight some more, form mighty robot, fight more, nearly lose, then pull out the big weapon and kill the monster. Dynaman was hilarious. "Cowboy, the slow-thinking weapons expert is Dyna Yellow"
