: ok please don't post anything hateful..but i didn't think the matrix 2 was all that good for all the hype it's getting. i mean the special effects were great, but even then some of the fight scenes you could tell it was a computer graphic figure...but as a movie on the whole, i just thought it wasn't great. when i went into the theater after hearing everybody's raves about it, i was expecting it to be like mind blowing or something..it was like a big preview for the third movie...meh just a thought...
The whole plot felt very choreographed. Uh-oh, its been ten minutes, I better kung-fu fight someone. The whole Commander Locke/Morpheus thing was some of the worst political infighting since the Rebel Alliance.
Werewolves, Vampires, Ghosts, and none of them really used to their full capacity.
The ghosts were well done but why did they just disappear. The Merovingian and everyone else were really just kind of extraneous. And the point they raised about not having a why was in contrast to the actual story where no deduction was needed to go to a to b to c.
The whole movie was mostly just cyberpunk AD&D bullshit with a techno-nuovometal score. As I watched this film it occured to me that none of the acting is actually 'good'. Even Fishburne and Moss (who I like in their other work) are just kind of going though the motions.
Cinematic masturbation for the sake of a dollar. We can only hope the Payoff at the end will be more fulfilling.
