: This is open to anyone else who shares the same political views as my brother & Smalls.
I listen to a lot of NPR and I listen to a lot of talk radio... and when the lesser traits of each other, NPR's elitist prissiness and talk radio's hopeless fascist slant, cancel each other out...
You're actually left with real news.
I read four or five newspapers a day, the Little Falls daily, the Utica daily, the New York Times and the USA Today.
I check out BBC News online a lot.
Most importantly, I listen to and watch the teevee and radio news in the weird hours of the late night, when the little stories that need to be released for "journalistic integrity" are let out... but at the same time, late enough to be buried and never heard of again for the sake of the advertisers and the government.
Ingest the news at all hours of the day and from as many different sources as possible. And when doing so, always take into consideration who the gatekeepers are on that story and on that medium, so that you can figure out the slant.
Get as many sources as you can and always consider the source.
