My boyfriend, my best friend, and I went to the Stash. The old Stash, before they relocated the new and improved one; this was back in 97, I think. I bought a few comics, and the original South Park Christmas card (Jesus vs. Santa Claus), and was fully pleased with my purchase. Both my boyfriend (ex, now, long since) and my best friend bought the Star Wars Christmas special. They both told me that the tapes they bought didn't actually have said special on them.
Bit of a different sitch, though, given that Mallrats (I assume) was sealed. I agree with the other poster; I'm sure that if you contacted the Stash, they'd have helped you out.
: So I drive to Red Bank, New Jersey last week on the course of my yearly road trip. All in all the visit was a huge treat. I met and got my picture taken with Walt Flanagan and Amy Noble (who by the way is a hottie) and while there purchased about $200 in Jay and Silent Bob merchandise. After visiting the Quick Stop and the swing set from Chasing Amy I returned to the store and bought a bit more, including a signed copy of Mallrats. It was to my utmost dismay that I returned home today and opened the box to find nothing inside. Like any true Kevin Smith fan I cursed for a few minutes and because of a bit of rock hard determination went out and bought another copy of Mallrats, threw away the box and put the DVD and booklet into the box.
: Congratulations, Mr. Smith, I have now spent 51 dollars on Mallrats...
: Hope you enjoy my money.
: Cool store, though...
