: Fucking MTV...that was a great idea bringing Jim Bruer out. He was about as funny as cancer.
He was bad, but from what I hear MTV cut most of his performance, showing only the lamest parts. That's MTV for ya.
: It's bad enough I had to see Limp Bizkit do Sanitarium, then I had to see Korn play "One".
You're silly, both bands did a fabulous job covering those tunes. Sum 41 did a good job too, their guitar player nailed the solo for "Master". Now Snoop Dog, THAT was lame. No effort what-so-ever.
: Now that I think of it that whole show blew, except when Metallica played.
Well, the only REAL excitement came when they played Frantic, excitement which was stomped out when they fucking cut off the song, fucking MTV...
: It is nice that they're sort of distancing themselves from the Load/Reload
Eh, I never hated the Loads, and I've been a fan since 85. I didn't love them as much as the old stuff, sure, but they had their moments. It is nice though, to hear them playing stuff that reminds me of the old days.
: They didn't play one song off either one of those pieces of shit. The band sounded pretty good for the most part. They massacred "Battery" though....
Yeah, Lars was playing way ahead of the rest of the band, I noticed that too. Cut em some slack though, they hadn't played out live in some time. Give em time, they'll get it together. Have you seen the setlist for the shows they are playing now? Nothing from 91 on, NOTHING. It's all old, except for the title track to St. Anger, and Frantic. This is the time to catch the live show, I can't see them pulling this kind of thing off for many more years.
