Jim Carrey definately had his high moments, but that doesn't mean every film will be considered great.
Hollywood thinks if they have a weak script idea worth processing that starring big names in certain pictures will draw in the crowds regardless of the quality.
Its much cheaper to borrow or rent it in few months.
