1. Name or explain a childhood fear.
Splinters. My dad got one which looked rather small when I was a kid. He didn't get it pulled for close to three weeks and turned out the thing was about an inch long (or at least I recall it being about that big). There was talk that if he hadn't got it taken out soon he'd possibly would have had to get a piece of his hand amputated. Freaks me out till this day.
2. What is one of your biggest fears in life now?
The tried and true "growing old and dying alone" one.
3. What's the scariest/most disturbing film you've ever seen in the tenure of your life? I mean, this stunk in your head days afterwards...
The last episode of Twin Peaks and Lost Highway. Both by David Lynch. Both creeped me out so much that it was hard to keep it out of my mind for days. Oddly enough, neither was really a horror movie.
4. What do you do to take your mind off of things that upset you?
Get together with friends/family. I tend to cheer up easily.
5. Do you do anything somewhat superstitious "just in case?" Explain.
I oddly turn on lights in rooms before walking through them. Even if I'm just passing through real quick. But that's probably more of a dumb habit than a superstitious act.
6. Name or explain something dangerous you've done that you knew was dangerous.
I'm a big wuss. I rarely do anything dangerous. I think making left turns on busy highways is dangerous.
7. Very morbid question: Have you ever been in a situation where the thought crossed your mind, even if for a brief moment, that you might honestly die (i.e. surgery, accident, gun to your head, etc)? Explain if you feel up to it.
On a plane once. Turbulance was bad. Long delay in the air. No feedback from the cockpit. It's a weird feeling.
8. Tension breaker question: If you were a super hero, what would your weakness be?
