So, my husband is out on the patio.
he hears spashing in my watering can.
Given that just last week we had a mama bird boot her babies the wrong way down into our utility closet (she has nested in the vent and requested her nest not be removed since we have no dryer), thre babies, in two rounds. He felt he should check it out, there are baby animals in straneg places these days.
Well what did he find?
A young chipmunk.
I feed the local chipmunks and small birds on my patio, because, well, i love animals and enjoy watching them, (i also buy extra loaves of bread and go feet the canadian Geese and there herd of babies currently waddling around every feww days in a nearby pond).
he was lethargic and did not move when Hubby let him out of what could have been a water grave.
So he brought in the Munky, i put it in a clean dry washcloth, wraped it up dried it off and kept it warm.
It shivered, but stopped and closed it eyes in the same ways my cats do each, time i rubbed its ears.
I swear i should start my own animal planet show! lol
