: Confident they've finally unwrapped the Wonka bar with the golden ticket, Warner Bros. execs are enlisting Tim Burton to direct "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," the second live-action adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic children's novel.
Because.. you know, Burton did such a GREAT job with Planet of the Apes.
I wish people would leave old stuff alone.
I'd rather see a movie sequal than a movie remake these days. Think its the lesser of two evils.
Why not do like... Willy Wonka II, Veruca Strikes Back. Or Willy Wonka II, Revenge of the Oompa Loompas. At least then I would know that future generation won't phase out the classic version with the remade version.
Its like trying to find the original cuts of Star Wars these days. Frigging hard. In 10 years the kids who weren't alive when the moves were recut won't even remember the way they movies were, just what they are like now.
Thats screwed up.
