I have no idea what a piker is. It doesn't matter though, I'm not too interested in getting in an internet debate (especially one over something as petty as comics). What Steve said is right, I can go look on eBay right now and see a lot of the "Ultimate" issues going for triple digits or close to it. Comics are back in. Maybe not as flourishing as much as like 10 or 15 years ago, but definitly much more than 5 years ago. Also, I have plenty of comics, why would I insult you? Its not really my thing.

: I've been collecting 20+ years and have at least 20 longboxes of comics. And before you make the obvious joke, my wife has her fave titles also and I pick up a few for her each week.

: Your comics are worth precisely nothing - or maybe I should say, they're worth the enjoyment you got from them. The bottom dropped out of the market about 10 years ago after the multi-cover stuff killed the collector's market. You might get $100 or so on ebay. Your local comic shop will rape you; you'd be lucky to get 10 cents each. Nothing personal, that's just the economics of owning a comic shop - not a lot of margin.

: I was once offered over $1,000 for my Ninja Turtles 1-5; now they're worth about $1 each. (Although my old Daredevil is now appreciating. Go figure - Affleck gets a bug in his butt and it affects the collector's market for old, secondary characters.)

: If you really want to do something cool, donate the comics to a local library or a school.

: John
