: ...if you look back at archived boards, the calibur of conversation isn't so different anyway. I think old posters just miss other old posters for who they are and not what they posted about. And I don't believe ALL of them stopped posting because the board changed so much, I expect they drifted away for various reasons. Kevin still posts so why worry?
As someone who has been here for a long time, I think the other problem some of us have had is that the OWB is gone. It used to be that you never had conversation-like threads on the board because there was somewhere else to go.
Personally, I get annoyed by the board the way it is now, but I'm not the one who runs this place, Kevin is. If he likes it, then that's all that really matters. I simply don't spend as much time here as I used to, but there is a new contingent that does. It's called evoution I guess. Just because I don't necessarily agree with it, doesn't mean that it's bad. I used to argue that this place was going to shit, but I realized that it's actually just changing, and that's not always a bad thing. However, the newer people shouldn't get so bitchy and defensive about the oldbies comments. That's just being as hypocritical as they are when they make them.
In the end, this place is just a webboard. We all (hopefully) have better things to worry about. I still enjoy all things Kevin and I'll still come by to read posts, but things will never be the way they used to be. That's not always a bad thing.
Right now, I've got to make dinner for my pregnant wife.
