: Hollywood star Nicolas Cage is gearing up to lead a remake of the classic British horror movie The Wicker Man. In the original 1973 Wicker Man, Edward Woodward plays a Christian policeman sent to a remote Scottish island to investigate a child's disappearance. While there, he inadvertently gets tangled up in pagan rituals. The Shape Of Things director Neil LaBute - who is behind the remake - says, "I'm moving the story from Britain to America. Nick Cage will play a cop who is looking into the disappearance of a young girl and stumbles on a pagan society existing in the modern world. Nick's character ends up on an island that has a very matriarchal society whose members are direct descendants of the Pilgrims. Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder would be two great choices. It's a great film for actresses."

I thought the ending was real boring and shitty...so they really ought to remake it and put on a better ending.
