I was glad that they cast Ben Browder for an episode, a week or two ago. Otherwise, I'm not a fan of either CSI or CSI Miami.
But you're right, the whole anti-drug movement has gone batty. All these insanely stupid anti-weed commercials... like the one with the guy who apparently killed his brother while driving stoned, for example. That isn't the fault of weed, that's the fault of the fucking moron who GOT BEHIND THE WHEEL stoned. Same for the pregnancy commercial. Marajuana doesn't make you stupid, people; you kinda had to have started off that way to do something that exceptionally dumb.
I heard this stand-up comedian do a bit while I was in college; I have no memory of who it was, it was during the 90's equivalent of Comic Remix. But I liked this bit so much, I've stolen it, and made it mine.
"How often do you see a headline that reads, 'Man smokes joint, kills 37 people?' It just doesn't happen! Try something a little more accurate! Like, 'Man smokes joint, eats M&M's, falls asleep!'"
