: ~ dislclaimer..none of the following are meant to offend anyone! Any resemblance
: to any one that is not Kevin Smith is not intentional. HA HA!
: 1. What is the most favorite comic hero you can remember loving when you were
: about 12 years old?
It was when I was exactly 12 years old that I was fascinated by Spiderman. I used to attempt to draw him all the time. The emphasis is definitely on "attempt" there, but it beat school work.
: 2, Did you, by some misfortune happen to sell your comics? Why?
Yes I did, to my best friend. It wasn't by misfortune though, I just grew out of that particular obsession.
: 3, There always seem to be a point in life when one has to do things for money in
: order to support their Art..do you think that's wrong?
Hhmm....well it's frustrating. But I guess artists have to have some perspective at the end of the day and realise that most people spend their whole lives doing shit for the money to support their families or whatever. I sympathise with creative/artistic people who are restricted by the need to pay bills, but I don't like to hear them whinge about it, because you know....there's kids working 16 hours a day down mines in parts of Africa.
: 4. Have you had to make the decision described in three?
Um....I suppose, on a very small level. I am very reluctant to describe myself as an artist though, and even more reluctant to complain about things.
: 5, Do you want to be RICH?Would you compromise?
Very much depends on my personal situation. At the moment I'm young free and single, so I can afford to put money issues on the backburner slightly and pursue the things I really want to do. However, if I end up with a girl I love, and one day with kids, then it becomes slightly more important to pay bills. If I were in Kevin's position, which is of course what we're hinting at here, I would most definitely GET PAID first of all and make sure my family was alright, and then worry about being true to my artistic aspirations. I mean if you can do both that's ideal, but some compromise is almost always needed.
: 6. You have a gas stove with three burners a lantern and a knife..one can of Spam
: and one can of Chunky dog food..and a pan...what's for dinner?
Me - for the vultures. Because I would rather starve than eat Dog food, or the even more disgusting Spam.
: 7, Of all the red posters( the famous people) who wins the award for the most
: sarcastic?
Gotta be Lynch hasn't it.
: 8, When you get away from your computer..what do you do for fun? No work! Just
: fun!
Um....sometimes I play soccer until I can't stand up anymore. I like to go to the cinema and see films that have been out for ages, and sit in the back of the empty theatre with my feet up, laughing at whatever bag of shite Hollywood has sent me to watch this week. And of course, I like to put adverts in "The Stage" claiming I'm casting for a new film, and then sit on chairs in the local community hall with my mate and watch drama school people make fools out of themselves to try and impress us for no reaon.
: 9. Does sexual innuendo bother you?
Um.....yes and no. It doesn't embarrass me or make me awkward or anything. Sometimes I think it's fun and amusing. However, I do get slightly miffed with people who do nothing but put sexual inuendo into EVERYTHING - as if demonstrating their willingness to mention sex will make them seem all cool an uninhibited. There's something very school-playground about that. But mostly, no, sexual inuendo doesn't bother me.
: 10, Who taught you more..your mom or your dad?
Good question, I'm not sure actually. My mum was there for me more, but my dad always seemed intent on teaching me something new everytime we talked. I honestly wouldnt know for sure on this one. I think my mum probably educated me in a more subtle way than my dad.
: 11. And what would be the greatest lesson you learned from that person?
From my mum: that you don't have to have climbed Everest to have lived an amazing and special life, From my dad: not to let tragedy consume you.
: Hope someone's listening..I'd hate to be likeBart when he ran for class president
: and no one voted!
Um....well, you have at least one vote.
