I wanted to make up for all the pimping. : : Although I know some of you won't admit it, we all have fears. That's what this poll is about. : : 1. Name or explain a childhood fear. When I was young, my family used to vacation in Colorado. We would drive from Nebraska (where I grew up), to CO. I was concerned that we would fall off the road in the mountains, and my father, in a bizarre attempt to calm my fears, said 'Don't worry, Rachael, if we fall off the road we will hit the trees. I think this was said to mean 'Our fall will be broken by the trees', but I took it is 'Shit, just what we need, more stuff to run into.' Fear of heights and falling ever since. : : : : 2. What is one of your biggest fears in life now? Death : : : : 3. What's the scariest/most disturbing film you've ever seen in the tenure of your life? I mean, this stunk in your head days afterwards... : American History X : : : : 4. What do you do to take your mind off of things that upset you? Sadly, eat ice cream. Name or explain something dangerous you've done that you knew was dangerous. : I got into a fight with a guy about some silly shit when I was a teenager, in a group setting of close friends. Two other friends, both guys, decided to whale on the guy I was arguing with, to the tune of them coming up behind him with a baseball bat. The guy pulls out a gun. I freak out, then kick it out of his hand, pick it up, and bail. Dangerous and stupid! :) : : : : 7. Very morbid question: Have you ever been in a situation where the thought crossed your mind, even if for a brief moment, that you might honestly die (i.e. surgery, accident, gun to your head, etc)? Explain if you feel up to it. : No, but I do entertain the thought sometimes that I could just have an anuerysm and kick it, or a truck may blow a light and wipe me out...etc. etc. : : : : 8. Tension breaker question: If you were a super hero, what would your weakness be? Is this a personality question, like describe your actual weaknesses?
