: I like many before me would like to share my bullshit with all of you. If you dont like well then you can come to my house in Postville, Iowa and kiss my ass.
That's actually a good attitude. You have every right to state your opinion, and any asshole who tells you to shut up should get fucking bent.
:Anyhow I would like to say that The choice of using Jlo in his next movie Jersey Girl is an unbelievable mistake. As much as I admire KEvin and feel that he can pull of anything. I personally feel that this is a huge mistake.
Personally, I'm reserving all judgment until I actually see the film. I agree that Jennifer Lopez is not the greatest actress I've ever seen on screen, but that doesn't mean she can't give a good performance (just look at "Selena" and "Out of Sight"). It may be a mistake, it may not be. I personally believe that if Lopez doesn't give a good performance in "Jersey Girl", the other aspects of the film will help to make up for any flaws she brings to the film.
:Kevin CAN make anything funny however I think that if he were to use another actress such as the chasing amy girl (I can't remember her name right now) or another FUNNY DECENT actress then it would be much better than it would with jlo.
The "Chasing Amy" lead actress is Joey Lauren Adams. I believe one of the main reasons Kevin isn't using her in "Jersey Girl" is because he's trying to break off from his former screenwriting/directing persona and branch off into new territory, which includes using new actors and actresses. Also, were Joey Lauren Adams to play Lopez's role, then people would most likely compare the film to "Chasing Amy" right off the bat without seeing it just because its two stars are the same stars and in a similar situation that they were in "Chasing Amy". (Much the way many people think Jennifer Lopez's performance in "Jersey Girl" will be poor just because she's made some bad films.)
:Just because ben afflek, the lucky son of a bitch is nailing her he wants her in the movie.
Kevin has actually gone on and stated that he didn't cast Jennifer Lopez in "Jersey Girl" because she and Ben are together, but that she fit the role, which I don't doubt that she does.
:I am thrilled with the other casting choices however. I am looking forward to seeing Ben Afflek and George Carlin, one of my favoriite commedians.
I'm also looking forward to seeing Affleck and Carlin on screen together. They didn't get to do much with each other in "Dogma" and never even met in "J&SBSB", so it'll be interesting (and, hopefully, entertaining) to see how they'll play off one another in the film.
:Just why cant he have used shannon doherty or somebody else. Now that I'm done bitching then I leave you with one hope. Kevin has one chance to make this a good movie, MAke Jlo hot wet and nude. Because that is the only thing she could do well.
Now, that's an unfair judgment. Personally, I think she's been in a few good roles, but mostly crap. And, true, I don't think much of her singing. But she can do more than just get 'hot, wet, and nude', as you so put it.
:I will still be there at 1200 am opening night with my buddy Ben here in Postville Iowa. I hope to hear your oppinion. May the buddy jesus be with you all.
I'm surprised they're having a midnight show. Mostly, theaters reserve that for major blockbuster films like "X2" and "Matrix Reloaded". Still, I hope you keep an open mind about Lopez while watching the film and don't rush to judgment so quickly on an actress who does have some potential, especially when she's paired with a director like Kevin and is put in a film as well-written as Kevin is likely to have made it.
