: All of sudden, the guitar-playing poet turned all Britney on us. Don't know why- you would have thought she would have tried that a few years ago when the teen-dream/boy band pop craze was invading. I saw a picture of her from an appearance on TRL- she had the most god-awful outfit on- mixing camoflage with pink bows. I'm thinking she's trying to be a trend-setter and what-not, but that's never been her MO. Where is the chic who suffered and lived in a car and dates a rodeo bull-rider?????

Do any of you understand the complete and utter irony of the lyrics, the video and the overall type of song it is? It is a dance song, but I have heard clips of the other songs on the CD and they are quite good. Much different, I must say, than Pieces of You or Spirit.

BUT.. She wants to experiment. Her explanation of the look and sound change is that 1) She wanted to experiment, and 2) she wanted to make music that made people feel good and dance in a time of war and chaos. The world isn't in a great condition, she wants to make people feel good.

She said on the Today Show recently that she doesn't care if people compare her to Britney Spears or any of the pop icon whores because.. "I have already proven myself. I'm just having fun now."

I think everybody deserves to have a good time without because called a Sell Out.

She is HARDLY selling out. Don't say that until you understand the video and the concept of the ENTIRE song.

Virgo.
