Actually it pretty much was.
Firstly to answer your question.
If I were to get a piercing it would likeley be a barbell through my eyebrow or a hoop in the middle of my bottom lip. I would probably go with the former, as it doesn't look so punkish and doesn't get in my way.
As for a tattoo I would have to steal a high school friends idea. Its an Infinity symbol with and Alpha and Omega in the two loops of the symbol. My friend put it on his wrist, while I would put mine on my shoulder. I like it because it's a pardox of sorts, and in a way a religious paradox.
My parents always told me (well at least since I was that age) that I could get any piercing or tattoo supposing it's not sexual or satanist or nothing. All I had to do is tell them before I got it rather than showing up at home with it. My parents really wouldn't have a problem with it at all.
My parents were the type who were kinda laid back but responsible. They let me drink before I was even legal (legal age here in ontario is 19) as long as it was in reason. Shit, half the times I drank back when I was 17 was on the back porch with my parents. And I plan on being the same way with my kids. Why? Because I'm generally a good kid. I don't get drunk really at all, and even though I've had the choice to get piercings and tatoos I haven't. I've been drug free all my life though I've been offered many times. I'm the kind of guy I would LOVE my daughter to go out with, and yet I am so very single.
