I am very sorry to hear about your father.
I was in the very same boat you are. I lost my father 2 years ago and I didnt make it there in time to say good bye. Something I never thought I would have to go through at the age of 21. It was very lucky that he got to spend the last days he had surround by family on good terms.
I never cried because my father would have hated that. He was never serious in his life and filled it with nothing but laughs and if he knew people were crying over him he would probably reach out and smack us.
