My question is for anyone who's been affiliated with this movie, specifically this sequence. The one I'm referring to is when Jay and Silent Bob are in Brody's comic book store towards the beginning of the film, and after he tells them that there is going to be a Jay and Silent Bob movie, he says something like, "and with that, we cue the music." Then the trio begin to do some kind of like, singing routine, "Matt, matt matt..."etc.

In the commentary, the viewer is told that that part was ad-libbed at the time. However, my question is, if it was ad-libbed, what was it from? I've seen all of Kevin Smith's movies, and just about all of Jason Lee's as well, and I've never heard anything even remotely similar to it. Furthurmore, Jason Lee's character in this scene's name was Brody, not Matt.

So anyway, I would appreciate if someone could tell me what this is about. Thanks!
