When Pearl Jam was touring for their VS album, I was not listening to the radio regularly, and did not know PJ was coming to my town until they were sold out, NO tickets for me! Well i was a strange critter in those days. I wrote Eddie Vedder a leter care of the venue in tow ranting about the high price of scalpers who buy up all the tickets and then fleece the public etc (i refused to pay the mark up)
Well the night of the concert i get a phonecall and they say "Eddie got your letter, can you be at the venue in 30 minutes, we will leave your name at the door"
I was so excited until i realized, the car was not driveable from an accident the previous night!! OMG I felt do ripped!
Anyway a few months later, in the December issue of SPIN i read an inteview with Eddie, and he mad a remark about getting letters backstage form ppl who couldnt get tickets because of scalpers etc... lol
so i sorta felt all special for three seconds...
