OK, in my day, it would have been Poison or Motley Crue, but while I liked them well enough, I personally would have said, "Fuck that, I'm going to go listen to some Beatles and Pink Floyd."
I'm proud to say that, while I grew up in the age of poser metal, I actually bought very little of it. I think I have tapes of Def Leppard's Hysteria, and Extreme's Pornograffiti, and that was only because I liked singing More Than Words.
