Then again, I think I accidentally started the Babysitters Club/Sweet Valley High one..which is obviously gender biased and probably wasn't too appreciated!

You know what I didn't get into,though? The Talisman..I mean, I don't hate Peter Straub or anything..but it didn't really do it for me.
