Didn't Morpheus explain this in the first one, how those people until they were yanked out of the system were still a part of it and thus potential threats, kind of terrorist way of thinking but that's what they're supposed to be. And I'm not sure if the love of those families is real or not, might just be a part of the system.
: 2) Where are the robots? These things that need humans to power them? Are they just those sentinal (sp) things? Maybe that will be explained it part 3.
Sentinels, those Walker things in the Animatrix, plus all the other computers and machines that i'm sure have no real goal, maybe they're just greedy....like us.
